In The War: Prince sings about "Microchip for yo neck"?

Do you think part of what he's singing about will ever come down; in other words not "Microchip for yo neck" but "Microchip for the hand or forehead"?

Probably.

An up on fingerprints "for your own protection."

It's already in your cell phone, laptop, passport, etc.

Prost!

maybe: in some ways we are well on the way to that. From little key ring cards for discounts on goods to the ones with RFID chips in them to pay for things and cell phones which can now be used to buy stuff and are used to track us.

I am not sure that it is really the same as the mark of the beast but it is something to keep in mind as technology advances. How much are you willing to accept?

Well we already use them - RFID chips - in animals, and a million other things.

They're tiny already and it won't be long before they're small enough to sit comfortably under the skin of the hand or fingers. Not sure I'd want one in my forehead though.

It's the next logical step in contactless technology. Credit card in your finger.

RFID = The Mark Of The Beast smile

Seriously, though, considering how our every move can already be tracked through our phones, computers, vehicles, etc... I'll pass on a chip under the skin.

That said I still use a landline and find cellphones annoying.

I don't facebook or use any social media.

I use cash almost exclusively over cards.

...and guess what? I manage to get along just fine and people have no problem finding me when they need me. wink

Without my smartphone or social networking, I would not be able to make money only doing what I want to do, which is creative work.

In fact, it also makes the creative process able to utilize contributions from remote poeple and places without the need to waste the environment or life experience by putting people physically under an office roof.

Lucky for me, neither would make my life any easier. Glad they work for you, though... wink

McCain Microchips are the business. Two minutes in the microwave, dollop of tomato ketchup, and serve.

Likely but the man may not even need that technology, sad

Cars are being tracked by license plate scanners:

http://ideas.time.com/2012/08/13/is-your-car-being-tracked-by-a-license-plate-scanner/

Disney is using face recognition software, it is connected to your credit card info:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/aug/15/new-totalitarianism-surveillance-technology?newsfeed=true

"A software engineer in my Facebook community wrote recently about his outrage that when he visited Disneyland, and went on a ride, the theme park offered him the photo of himself and his girlfriend to buy – with his credit card information already linked to it. He noted that he had never entered his name or information into anything at the theme park, or indicated that he wanted a photo, or alerted the humans at the ride to who he and his girlfriend were – so, he said, based on his professional experience, the system had to be using facial recognition technology."

What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

Game over Prince they can use face recognition and connect it to credit card info! Do you want some 8 by 10's?
