New Muse song sounds like Prince song You can call me crazy, but the new Muse song "Madness" sounds like a song written by Prince. Listen to the chords, lyrics (non-lyrics verbalizations as well) and the guitar solo. If it is not a Prince written song, Man!!!
I would love to see Muse and Prince tag up on a song. It would be.....Wait for it.......Wait for it.......Wait for it.......Legendary!!!!!!!

Sounds like a mash up of queen, george michael and Prince. Apparently on the album there's a song called Panic Station which Muse have said that Prince is the inspiration for the 80's effects on the track. The song is described as having a "hysteric" feel, which is reflected in demented 80's elements such as backwards 'Let's Dance' drumbeats and riffs reminiscent of INXS' 'Suicide Blonde.

lol, i was going to post this today!. You are so right, it has P all over it. Imagine him doing this, it would sound even better!, love the guitar solo as well.
The days of P doing a track this cool are but a distant memory but it's nice to see his influence still looms large.
Can't wait for the new Muse album.

Sounds like george michael's faith, very similar melody and chords.

I've watched the main guy in Muse. His mannerisms on guitar scream Prince at times. Kinda bugs me to be honest.

The first time I heard this I nearly shat myself. I bloody love it and instantly thought it sounded very much like Prince and elements of Depeche Mode.
The vocal spacing and harmony arrangement is very reminiscent of some old school P numbers. I wish U heaven is the first that springs to mind.
It's a truly excellent song in my humble opinion.

To me it's closer to a tune like "I want to break free".
The solo though is very Princely.

It sure has a Queen/Prince feel, the solo is a Prince solo ....Supermassive black hole still sounds the closest 2 a Prince song.
Muse is great in their own right, have seen a concert broadcast and these 3 guys can pull it of live!! Love4oneanother

The Solo definitely has a Prince feel to it - but that's about it.
'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

Haven't listened to this song yet, but I just have to say that Muse is a really good live band!!
Everytime I see them play live on TV they kick ass, and I always think at those moments that I should get some of their albums. And then I forget about them again!
I really need to break this habit... [Edited 9/14/12 3:28am] RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...
