If Prince had started his career BEFORE 1978...(circa 1976 or 77) yep, it's a "what if" thread, lots of folks here hate'em, but what the hell, I think the question is good...
...what would have happened? what do U think? would have he released a pure disco album? something punkish/new wavish? or something juvenile/teenage-oriented?

It would have just meant another album or two of doe-eyed, drippy teenage love naivete and a few more songs with hardcore disco-trappings before punk and new-wave came along to kick his creative spark into high gear. | |
