i like it a lot. it's kinda punky and raw in a lite sorta way.

I do believe that there are some songs that have to grow on you but I always trust my gut. If it doesn't get me the first couple of times it ain't ever.

But why do you WANT to like it? Because you like the lyrics? I don't know...I don't care too much for Prince in preachy mode. Like are we really supposed to "jam" to those type of depressing lyrics?

It's opposite for me. Musically, it's one of my favorites from the album, along with "Sticky Like Glue" and "Lavaux"; but I find the lyrics completely uninteresting, and at times, embarrassing.

Those lyrics suck. Just a bunch of conspiracy theory bumper sticker slogans strung together. Deep shit for morons but for people with half a brain the situation is infinitely more nuanced than he is capable of accepting. Again, being good at music doesn't necessarily mean you know shit about other things.

This has become my favorite of the album. As for the lyrics, well, they are what they are these days. But it seems kinda personal, even though I don't quite understand it. Is this about respecting the hand of god, or about taking responsibility and not claiming everything to be the hand of god?
