Yup, I made a thread over a year ago [called something similar] about this, & I'm no longer softening the blow of my personal feelings..... Fuck Prince! This dude is one of the biggest [little] drama queens ever. So, until he starts caring about fans/supporters, I will no longer support his music. I'm strictly free downloading anything he releases in the future, & I hope bootleggers run even more rampant all over his shit. He's all about $ [& has terrible business sense @ that, hence his paranoia], so there's no reason for me to spend my hard earned $ anymore...

I feel that we should all ignore him actually. People should stop going to his shows too, if you ask me, just to bring him back down to Earth. If it wasn't for the cool people on this site, I really don't think I'd come here @ all. I'm a big fan of his music, but his ego tripping really makes me lose a lot of respect for him. It also makes it a lot harder for me to even take him serious anymore....

Sure, I could have kept these thoughts to myself, & I'm sure there are many of you who will disagree & call me names & shit [feel free.....This is Prince.org, & won't be the first time I've been called anything on this site ]. I just had to get that out...

From what I hear, a lot of celebrities are assholes. But most of them at least pretend to like their fans, especially when they want our money for something. Did Prince tell his lawyers to shut down TDG the same day he announced his Chicago residency, or was it just a coincidence?

Yeah, for me it was a kick to the throat when I realized that someone I so loved was such a dick. Seriously, I wish he was evan a LITTLE nice from time to time but I never hear anything on a personal level that makes him seem even a little nice and really, as the years go by I just hear and see more dick behaviour from him.

It was no coincidence!!!! In the future Prince wants to be known as a live act. Now I understand he wants his legacy to be based on that. He's going different directions. Somebody mentioned that on another thread. The less info about his live performances are out there, the better it is for him,

Also, very important to consider: Prince does not know how many fansites are out there. He could be thinking there are hundreds of DG and HQ and Orgs, the reason why closing down one won't matter. but there are not many info sites 4 fans. In case his lawyers don't know!

Whatever, this is so boring. Everything about him is so boring at the moment. I think I need a break!

Same here. I have gone to great lengths to obtain a legitimate copy of everything that has been officially released, including the recent vinyl reissues, which are the only new U.S. product we've gotten in the past couple of years. The only exception is 20Ten, and the only thing that stopped me from buying that on eBay was the rumor that we would eventually get an official U.S. release.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. We should start a boycott petition. My wife would be thrilled to hear that I am boycotting Prince because she thinks I have enough already.

I do think people deserve refunds though for memberships though . Too bad we couldn't get refunds for shitty music too, but that won't happen
