Grindin' may be the best example, but the piece itself is clearly referring to their catalog as a whole.

Questlove is talking about the emptiness in most of The Neptunes songs...from "Grindin" to "Drop it like its Hot"... The tracks are basically drum machine with no baseline and minimal instrumentation... Just like "When Doves Cry"

Look up "Please Dont Mind" by phillys most wanted, "slave 4 u" by britney spears and "wanna love u girl" by robin thicke. youll hear his influence in these 3 examples.
