Hi Unique - you don't say why they won't like the thread/ post? can you explain why it should be a problem please?

(both I and the dj who made it feel that it's done in the best spirit of celebrating prince's artistry, that it's more about a fun party atmosphere and that it's main function is to serve as a moistening, if you will, of people's interest, before the prince party on sep 17th. the intention is the opposite of wanting to cause offense in any way).

because the rules say you can't post his material on here. prince for his own reasons doesn't want anyone other than him posting his own music, including fans on fansites

In plain English u can't post or integrate any link to any music (or video containing music) that was composed and/or recorded by Prince, never, ever, no matter what website it's on, period.

We have reached such a legal point of tension between this website and Prince (whose lawyers harrassed the site owners on many occasions) that back in 2009, the mods suspected Prince to give unreleased videos to that Shelbey chick on Youtube only to frame Prince.org by letting the girl claim the videos were legit (and they were), then claiming they weren't and sue the Org for letting users posting links to them...

i suppose as it mentions youtube and videos, but not specifically audio, as the sticky was made a while back, it could be updated to say video or audio and mention soundcloud too, just in case someone thinks video is bad but audio is good. but then some people still won't read rules

Wow! I hadn't noticed that it doesn't say audio... Clearly, no links to audio are allowed but you're right, it doesn't state it.

Somebody oughtta update that for sure.

All it tells me is that Prince is a dick.

You don't have to tell me. I know audio links aren't allowed. Unique has a good point though. No harm in clarifying for those that don't know the rules.
