Prince Announces “Welcome 2 Chicago” Residency
Following similar stints in New York City and Los Angeles, Prince will descend on Chicago next month for a multi-date residency at the United Center. The aptly titled “Welcome 2 Chicago” will begin on September 24th, and marks his first shows in the city since 2004.
The residency will also be used to support Rebuild the Dream, the organization founded by Van Jones that seeks to “build strong vibrant communities and to fix our economy from the ground up.”
Tickets for the September 24th show will go on sale beginning September 6th. Additional shows will be announced shortly. http://promo.livenation.com/prince/

How about "Welcome 2 New Orleans" as a compromise between Atlanta and Dallas? That city could certainly use the money, and it's cheap to fly there (at least from Dallas). The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach. |
