Wishful thinking but he should do a Welcome 2 Wichita. These people out here need some education on what music sounds like.

I hope this "residency" means multiple dates like he did in other cities. Of course I am traveling for work that week and the next...but will be home for the weekends! Here's hoping he does a couple weekend dates!

Not so sure that it's a good idea to move the thread to concerts so soon. What about people who don't visit the site often or daily and miss it and no nothing about it? I might have been one of them as it was still there 1 hours ago. Should be a sticky on both pages at least for a while imo.

hahaha. I love this! that's how i acted when he announced the NY/NJ shows.

Hopefully this tour really will achieve its goal. Problem is that Prince fans

are the last people in this sad world who give a hoot about anything but

their own immediate pleasure. Obviously Prince wants to address some

issues of urban blight, but who will listen?

Also, the minute he release a dollar for the cause, the greedy sue-happy vultures hit him.

Prince is a great and beautiful giver, but has some real jerks who love to

pursue and hound him.

I'm glad this is taking place at the United Center and not that shithole that is the Allstate Arena.

What a bizarre overgeneralization. You could just as easily argue that anyone who goes to this concert is selfish because they could donate the amount of the ticket price directly to the charity, skip the concert, and cut out the middleman.

Can anyone tell me who are the current players who will be doing the show?

Just my luck.

I've just booked flights and a hotel for a holiday in Chicago from 10th-17th October so I'll probably get to wave him goodbye!

Chicago is in for a treat. We here in Cali4nia have been lucky enough 2 have him 4 21 nite & no matter what else was said he tore it up. We we're so spoiled.....Prince moves better than ever & is in the toppest shape of his life. He has great endurance & stamina 7 go 4 hours...

echo on a new setlist for god's sake ..it's one thing if this was aussie or japan but europe, the states and canada need new meat

How do you qualify for any of the pre-sales?

If you have a Citicard, you qualify for the pre sale by virtue of the card. If you have a Live Nation account, you get a special pass and screen.

Did some math and if they announce dates on 10/3 or 10/4 then I can swing it without using vacation time(that I'm tapped out on) and without breaking the bank. Perfect reason to see Chicago again. Last trip I ran through the downtown area so fast. I barely remember any spots we hit!

It would and a major plus is that flights from NYC to Chicago are so short they aren't horrifically grueling!
