Prince, lounge music

Passed by a restaurant yesterday where they played some cool lounge-like music. Sounded very much like Prince but I didn't recognize the song at all. Being a Prince fan at a medium level I am not surprised that very nice tracks by Prince can be unknown to me but that lounge groove was very good and I want to hear more.

So here's my ask for help: Prince, lounge atmosphere songs.. What should I listen to?

I think the whole of NEWS could be played in an ultra lounge.

Hell, even 'mixing' it for ultra lounge music qouldn't require much.

I don't know anything about "lounge" music, but if it's jazzy/funky instrumental material you are after then you could try these albums..

Xpectation http://www.princevault.co...Xpectation

and as already mentioned..N.E.W.S http://www.princevault.co...:_N.E.W.S.

The Madhouse album 8 http://www.princevault.co...p/Album:_8

and 16 http://www.princevault.co.../Album:_16

There is plenty of other instrumental music, but these will make a decent starting point.

Definitely the Madhouse CD's and NEWS. I'd even go far to play some of the more melancholy tracks like Money Don't Matter..., Old Friends 4 Sale and some of the more obscure Emancipation tracks(E-male, White Mansion. Damned If eye Do).

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!
