Then, there´s a bunch of recent music that I JUST CAN´T PLAY without being embarrassed , even when there´s nobody around. But I don´t dislike all of his recent stuff, in fact I think there are still at least three or four great songs on every Prince album these days but the bad ones are REALLY bad.

And don´t get me started with Wedding Feast.

To go back to your original question and intention....there are some great songs that I love but where I think that they are meant to listen alone, with no one else around.

Strays of the World is one example....love that song (I´m probably the only one here )

But you don´t want to play that song when other folks are around.

HEY!! I love 'Strays Of The World' That's an amazing song! AND I get what you mean about 'The Morning Papers' I guess when you consider the intention behind it; it sounds very creepy. I mean Prince really doesn't factor the age..He seems to wait till the woman is at least 18. I don't think the song is wholly about Mayte; and I don't think he pursed her till she was 'Legal'..lol. But you know. HEY! lol Haha

I agree with you in what you say, but come on! Weeding Feast is a prelude...How can we really judge that as a song! I mean come on! lol. And it is a fun song! I don't take it seriously..lol. It's really a song like "Next Time Wipe The Lipstick Off Your Collar' from Shelia. E's 'The Glamorous Life' LP.lol.

I agree with you though, some songs seem better alone. Like 'Solo' which is one of my favorite songs!

Damn near anything that isn't from Purple Rain would probably be an awkward situation in public unless the people around you are all hardcore Prince fans and "get it", because he's kinda an acquired taste. Actually it goes further like that, like "either you totally get him and think he's cool or you think he's weird and creepy as fuck", there's not really an in-between.
