No new P CD = time to digest & appreciate all the great stuff. Are you enjoying the break too? Don't know about you lot but I am enjoying the break. The space / break was much needed and you just know that time away will probably [IMHO] lead to a half decent CD next year. Whilst 2012 has hardly been lazy for him - Oz tour + involvement with LG & Andys' CD + some free jams the lack of a full CD has given me a chance to dig out some great stuff and apprecaite the genius part of his persona - there is so much to admire!.

I'm not sure that giving me time to hear all the recently released vault material is a great way to whet my appetite for new music to come in the future.
Dunno though, maybe like you say, he's off putting together something worthy of release. If that's the case, I'm happy to wait. blah blah blah |

or you could put on the Dirty Mind CD in your car and play it end to end with no skipping trax, low the dust off the those classic vinyls and blast the B-Sides. Lol. I am so sure that his next CD will be a good one. | |

Well I don't enjoy the break cuz Im bord as hell now, there's nothing 2 look 4ward 2. Andys and larrys CDs? I don't think so. I'm not sure this break will bring us a better album by Prince, the break is a result of that not many wants 2 make a deal with prince anymore cuz all the issues in the past and cuz he wants get paid in advance. And cuz p is bitter cuz all the downloading (u can hear it in Colonized mind) that song was a hint that hes really mad at the moment. Anyway I hope we will see a new album soon cuz I really enjoy his music. Welcome 2 The Dawn | |

I am NOT enjoying the break but, P has so much music that honestly, it would take me a full week to listen to all the officially released music. I was just listening to 20Ten the other day and felt like throwing in ( playing ) all the music from 20Ten backwards just to see the progression of the music and lyrics. Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

I'm happy about the break because
Since he has never taken a break this long before (and really should have) I'm hoping he actually is taking the time to make a fantastic album again. However part of me thinks he has run very low on creativity for music and may no longer has the magic potion to make great exciting and innovative music anymore. Time will tell... The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Every time Prince doesn't release an album for a long while I kinda stop listening to his music (though I will always play some of his music once in a while), and every time he releases a new album I listen to it like crazy AND I listen again to his whole catalogue for a few months, before things calm down again.
