What are some good Diamonds And Pearls Tour Bootlegs? As stated at the top of the forum:
"ABSOLUTELY NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS.You want to discuss them? That's fine - but NO OFFERS TO COPY, NO REQUESTS TO COPY, NO "WHERE CAN I GET", etc. NO POSTING OF LINKS TO THESE SITES EITHER. Please be aware that the moderators here strictly enforce this rule." --- luv4u --------------------------------------------------
I'm not asking where I can get them, I'm just curious about what show's are worth having. I'm specifically looking for the songs Thunder, Daddy Pop, Diamonds And Pearls, and Thieves In The Temple which (if I'm not mistaken) was played during the tour. I'm downloading The Tokyo Rehearsals for the Tour which is a soundboard recording but I also was hoping to get actual performances in soundboard quality. Again, I'm not asking where to get them, I just want specific shows or names of bootlegs so I can narrow my search down some. If I'm doing something wrong I'll just apologize from now Purple is the color of my heart,

I was looking for more audio based boots but I'll definitely give those a look. Purple is the color of my heart,

Ah ok. The audio of one of the London shows I mentioned is on Moonraker's 'Thunder' bootleg :-) if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

Thanks, I'll go look for that. I just remembered I started torrenting a Rotterdam show litterally 2 months a go and went to check on it... I unpaused the download and found it 30 percent done. Do you know anything about this show? Purple is the color of my heart,

There are NONE out there, as they are all from the Diamonds & Pearl era.

I almost agree with you, as Tony M's existence ruins much of each show. Still, Thunder was pretty cool, and Purple Rain was full length. Some of the songs were pretty cheesy and watered down. The band was good, but Prince was satisfied with half baked arrangements on many songs. As much as I complain about Shelby and the Welcome 2 America tour, D&P was much worse. Thieves In The Temple was great live when it was played. My vote goes for some of the London bootlegs. The sound quality is great, and despite the quality of the show being somewhat poor, the London shows are worth a few repeated listens

If it's the May 28 Rotterdam show it has one of my very favourite versions of Purple Rain ever - it's seriously awesome. There's a nice long version of Thieves In The Temple as well.

There are a few, but good one is "Purple High Court," it's on the EYE label. It's the 15th June '92 show at Earls Court in London. Apparently it's the most complete version of this show in circulation. Quality is very good indeed.

One is titled "Thunder." It is footage of the June 24th London show. The other is titled "Live 4 London," it is footage of the June 15th London show, and despite it not being as complete as the "Thunder" release, the picture and sound quality are much better.

Get the boot "Thieves in the Temple." It's from Sabotage, so I'm sure they stole it from one of the awesome labels doing boots for free. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

They didn't. It's sourced from the video release "Thunder" mentioned in reply #11.

I have great memories of that tour. It was very a very commercial tour, musically not so diverse as other tours and the setlists almost didn't change at all. But still it was great fun to watch, and I especially liked his dancing routine whilst "Willing and Able". I had so much fun, met a few wonderful people, got an autograph from Michael B. in cologne, saw there the whole band having dinner before the show in an closed area outside the concert hall, met Damon D. and Kirky J. at the entrance, they were standing there and smiling at the fans, and so on and so on. What about the Gent - Flanders Expo rehearsals from 1992? Did they surface on CD? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
