Just dug out the old Cd single and realized that dispite the music pretty much left unchanged, Prince added quite alot of new "talking" in the extended version, even mentioning "forrest gump" LOL.

Must of been one of the last singles where Prince did something different for the remixes.

Plus Prince had obviously been listening to R Kelly's "your body's callin'" as his Cd remix had him talking to his lover too LOL. Very much the same idea and pretty much just as humourous LOL.

This one almost made it to the Billboard Top 10. I think it reached 12 or 11. With the proper promotion this could have been his next big hit after TMBITW. People loved this song back then.

I prefer the remix over the original.

and I love the extended remix,

but: I still prefer the album version with that excellent but very short guitar solo.

Ps, "The Dawn" version:

the fantastic version on "The Dawn" (the Dawn = the excellent 1993-1995 era 3-cd bootleg) combines the album version and the remix rather well, imo... in a very great fan made 8:50 version...!

I prefere the album cut, but the extended was interesting

I went to the record store every time I was near one to see if the album came out

One of my top 10 favorite songs of his!
