In what regard? Nice, fresh, good quality. Others can comment on (lack of) remastering. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I have them but have not gotten aroung to listening to them yet. I did compare the peak levels on 1999 and they are different from previous issues--specifically, louder. Technically they are a new mastering, but the running length shows that they did not do a new transfer from the analog tapes, which is what people usually think about when they discuss "remasters." My advice would be to buy one and decide for yourself whether it sounds better, then get others if you like it. They are about to go back in print but probably not for long. The packaging is a huge improvement--beautiful mini LP reproductions. The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

I bought Parade and SOTT. IMO, they sound slightly better than the original pressing cds. The volume is turned up a little bit.
