When my kids were 8 and 6, that was their favorite song. They thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever heard! Which means I heard it about 1,000 times.

You'll be in my prayers! But they'll get tired of it in a month of two. Hang on!

My daughter's first Prince experience was the '3121' album... She's 10 years old now.

She LOVED "Lolita"... especially the "56 pink caddies" line. She also really liked "Love".

one of mine loved 'Get on the boat' which I was pleased about. Both also know nearly all the words to 'Lay it down' - i think the 'purple yoda' line hooked them in !. Can't wait until they get older and can listen to the real stuff !

Maybe Prince knows things we don't.

Actually I was just listening to this album, and I put this track in the same category as "Bob George" or "Had U", as very unusual sounds for Prince that deviate from his normal territory to the extreme. i look forward to more of those moments from him, like "Everybody Loves Me"

I dont think it's a song though its an interlude..its only like one or two minutes long....

Prince really ought to do a Lloyd Webber type musical, his music would be fab.

Here's an idea: don't play Prince's music to your kids.

My 10 year old loves loves loves Housequake and Hot Thing to the point of frenzy when they come on. Despite the 'Bullshit' lyric to which he sings a 'bleep' sound he knows them word for word.

On the other hand he also likes strange but true which is ever so slightly poo!
