If you could pick the setlist of a Prince show by only use material from 2000 to Now, what would your setlist be? Hypothetical situation, if you could pick the setlist of a Prince show but only pick songs between 2000- now, what would you pick? Picking these songs made me realize that his recent material isn't as bad as people make it out to be, but it still doesn't hold a candle to the classics. (I got to thinking about this because I can't sleep and my iPod was on shuffle and kept giving me newer Prince songs) Beginning Endlessly Compassion (seems like it would be interesting live) Guitar Fury Musicology 1+1+1=3 Future Baby Mama Mr. Goodnight Chocolate Box 3131 Laydown Extra Loveable Black Sweat A Million Days Dreamer Last December Encore: Future Soul Song Lolita U're Gonna C Me Old Skool Company No More Candy 4 U Purple is the color of my heart,

I would love to hear Lotusflow3r from start to finish live. I'm not sure how "From the Lotus..." and "Back 2 the Lotus..." would sound live but this is definitely my favourite Prince album since 2000. "Crimson and Clover" could be played at the end as a bonus track, I would want to hear "The Morning After" played between "Boom" and "4ever" as part of the album.

I think it's literally impossible to imagine a main show with just post 2000 material, but if he was to do an after show on post 2000 material, it'd have to go something like this: When eye lay my hands on you (long intro as band warms up & P arrives on stage) Crimson and clover Funk Illusion, coma, pimp & circumstance segues into-- Musicology (funk work out) Things cool down from the funk workout to-- piano solo She loves me 4 me Future baby mama Here Ure gonna see me Million days Back to the funky stuff (all songs segue into each other, be that lyrically or musically) Beginning endlessly Sticky like glue 1+1+1=3 Black sweat Funk Time to tear the guitar a new audio input Dreamer Guitar Encore: 3121 jam (incl. get on the boat, Chelsea rovers, feel better , feel wonderful chant) There's other songs I'd like in there but I think they're too much for an aftershow environment

Thats just epic, especially with the amount of detail you put in it (with the inclusion of chants and jams and all of that) Purple is the color of my heart,

I'm surprised the song is liked by many. I remember somebody saying that it would've worked better in the album in place of "Feel Good" but I don't hear it. I think mixing wise it would stand out considering how thin it is, but I also agree that "Feel Good" shouldn't have been in the album as well.
Granted, I too think its his strongest since TRC.

I think I prefer it to "Crimson and Clover" for a couple of reasons. I didn't hear the cd until a month or two after the album was released, all I knew was the download tracklist which featured "The Morning After." Second, in general I would happily take an original over a cover.
"Feel Good, Feel Better, Feel Wonderful" is definitely a bit out of place but the rest of the album is so good I can easily overlook it.
