PRINCE: responsible | irresponsible Dear Prince.org,
Has Prince proven to be a responsible / irresponsible person, over time?
It is a complex question, because there are numerous factors to take into account, such as age, maturity, generativity, religion etc.
However, can I please ask you to reflect on reasonably well-documented aspects of his behaviour regarding either his responsbility / irresponsibility in terms of his relationship with his:
1) employers, business partners/associates and stakeholders 2) romantic liaisons 3) hardcore fans 4) musical legacy 5) GOD?
Overall, I believe he is trending toward becoming a responsibile citizen; however, as with many, accompanied by his fair share of misdemeanours en route e.g. women.

I think the only thing we are even remotely entitled to comment upon are 3 and 4.
He's never done me any harm. He doesn't owe me anything. How he writes, records, releases, archives, is his own prerogative. If I'm able to and/or inclined to consume his music in some way then great, if I'm not then great.
Responsible/Irresponsible? WTF? Just somewhere in the middle,

Keithy,
I think you may be right. But who/what determines entitlement to comment?

I'm assuming this forum is almost totally made up of fans and music consumers rather than Prince's past and present employers, employees, associates, lovers, and deities.
