Hi everyone, has anyone of you some very rare pics (in good quality) of the inside of the famous vault and would like to share them with us? THX

I have seen it in person during the 'Celebration' tours. They didn't open it, but I remember going down a flight of stairs and there it was. If I remember correctly (it's been about 12 years) it was real close to the garage (where they filmed SexyMF).

1/ Are we 100% SURE it's 100% fireproof?

2/ How is it possible that a room built in 1987 is big enough to contain ALL the analogic tapes recorded SINCE 1988, studio tracks but also all the live shows and rehearsals (unless -it would make sense- Prince only recorded in digital for the last 15 years) ?

Perfect! I did think it was in a weird spot.....actully, Paisley Park was set up kind of weird. I remember there was long flight of stairs in the big concert area....did that lead anywhere? I was thinking that might have lead up to artist waiting area. When artist come to the stage where are they coming from?

Take a close look at your copy of Chaos And Disorder. There is a photo of the vault door in the booklet, and the cd disc itself contains a photo of the vault door.

He's already said there is more than one vault now. So my guess is when one get's full he builds another

He's already said there is more than one vault now. So my guess is when one get's full he builds another

Probably just easier for him to have access to whatever he needs since he's not at Paisley much these days. Also, redundancy is very common when preserving such precious data.

I remember the tour guide said "....The big hits like When Doves Cry, Purple Rain, etc. are not stored here. They are in a secret location." After that he quized us about the garage and "what video was filmed there" and I answered the question.

There was also a room full of guitars hanging from the ceiling (hundreds of them) and there were a few posters of women (maybe the Sexy MF girl was one and a few others I didn't know) and the guide said something like he loves his beautiful guitars like he loves his beautiful women...something like that.

The more I read your comments about the vault...the more I remember from the tour.

I was actually surprised by the number, different colors adn different shapes of all the guitars. It was a pretty cool room....nothing special, but cool!

When I was near the Vault, the room with all his guitars had a Texas shaped guitar. I asked about it and the guys from ZZTop gave it to P. They also had a bunch of analog pedals that were taken apart and they were modding them to get some new sounds.

The room leading into the Vault had a lot of artwork, the guide said that fans gave/sent artwork over the years and he kept some that he liked a lot. Also there was an empty drink sitting outside the vault and the tour guide laughed and seemed to act like Prince must have been in the vault that am but being the twisted fan i am i thought maybe they were making a reference to the Much Music special with Ingrid.

I asked about what was in the vault as far as unreleased completed studio album and they said 39 were finished with artwork/tracklisting and like 1000 more songs were scattered and not on a tracklist yet. I was out there and have not slept a few days at the time and said oh wow if these walls could talk and tried to listen into the wall.
