is that a hidden message or so? if yes, whats it about? or is this just a normal part of the lyrics?

Its an introduction (from God?) of whats to come from an epic album journey.

Its so grand that the opening synth blast so grand that MJ and Quincy were so move and inclined ot add the same thing to Thriller title track asap before completed mastering and release.

Since so many of us thought that the year 1999 was going to be a very futuristic type year, I always thought of it as an alien from another planet saying that to Earthlings.

Blackguitaristz made an excellent thread about the song's use of backmasking. He(Prince) appearantly did it with The Times' "OnedayI'mgonnabesomebody".

I always thought it was just a message from Prince. He is super weird and he knows it. And fun has been a major theme throughout his career.

It was actually my introduction to Prince back in 1982, and it was perfect!
