Our hair comes in all different textures and most times each of us have "different" textures of hair on our heads! Mine for instance is soft and curly, but a little more coarse in some areas. I can straighten it without the use of chemicals or I could wear it loose and curly by applying a water based gel and foaming pomade (works well on chemical free napptural hair) for that extra shine, let it dry and go. But when it's dry and undone a lot of it "looks" Nappy (tight-n-curly) or as some say "coarse or kinky curls". My hair does some interesting things!  Ha! I have no problems in the "Kitchen" area though.
