Who was Christopher Tracy?

Who or what was the inspiration for the song, "Sometimes it snows in April"? Was there really a Christopher Tracy?
In the song Prince says, "Tracy died soon after a long fought civil war. Just after I wiped away his last tear." and "I used to cry for Tracy cause I wanted to see him again." Was this person fictitional or based on a real friend?

I have heard that the inspriration came from his old manager and long time friend Christopher Moon. He had a huge influence on Prince's life way back when he first started. There was something else I heard about the paper that Prince is reading in UTCM, it has a crescent moon on the front also being a reference to Chris Moon. Thats just what I heard!
He calls me "Holi" cuz he says everyday w/ me is like a Holiday...

Thanks Luv4thepurple1-- Prince is known for symbolism like the moon on the newspaper. I couldn't imagine Prince writing music even if it was for a movie without some inspiration from his life. The Christopher Moon theory makes sense.
