Come On Late Nite Remix is far superior 2 Original Version...whos with me? found a copy of the Come On Ep in a record store..it was only 3 english pounds (bargain ay?).....anyhow I cant believe how amazingly shexy the Late Nite Remix is........makes the original sound rather dull...its kinda like The Univerisal Love Remix of Space as in thats Superior 2 the original aswell......so whats ur favourite Prince Remixes?....lets discuss....so I can hunt them down on amazoin and tell ya what I think haha | |

the original is one of my favorite songs of all time by Prince so I disagree. Never really cared for any of the remixes too much. The original however....CLASSIC!! | |

The live version of the Late Nite Remix from the Tonight Show is my favorite version of this song... The bird calls in the beginning always make me grin. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

For Prince songs up to 1990, I usually prefer the original version, but also like the remix, and even like a few of the remixes better. From 1991 on, most of the remixes are complete horrible wastes of time that I can't even listen to. The live studio mix of Somebody's Somebody is an exception, as it is awesome, but more of an alternate version than a remix.
To clarify, The last great Prince 12 inch releases were Thieves In The Temple-awesome, New Power Generation-very good, and Gett Off-awesome. Cream started a long trend of awful mixes.
And the more I think about it, a lot of the old 12 inch versions had more input from Prince and were more extended mixes than actual remixes. When Prince stopped being involved, they started stinking, led by Kirk Johnson's involvement. | |

OKay I listened to the entire maxi-single CD in the car. Twice. And I like the original one more. and then the next runner ups are the acapella mix and then the remix of The One.
