just downloaded an "unreleased instrumental version of america" from kazaa (3:36 long).

is this genuinely prince, does anyone know? the guitar takes the melody line... whole thing sounds somewhat suspicious, out of time...

any help, anyone? thanks!

you know, I got the same song on Kazaa a few days ago, and can't decide myself if it's Prince or not... the guitar is just not quite him, I've decided.

as for prince fakes, there was a few of them going round by a guy called, mr feelgood, or something like that... i downloaded one called "69 positions", thinking it was a prince track, it was REALLY bad. it was full of princely touches, but with no style or taste or moderation. every line of the vocal had to have a princely flourish, the guy was TRYING TOO HARD. it really was a hilarious and unlikeable track. that ended up in the bin too.
