but seriously I listen to other artist all the time and have been forever. But Prince's voice is special to me 
It gives me joy when I feel bad, it lifts me up when I'm low. His voice has made me cry on several occasions Yeah, as reluctant as I am to admit it, I feel the same way. That's real talent-when ur voice touches people like that Whether or not I agree with what he does, or says sometimes, one thing is for fucking certain.
He strangled Valentino, and I've been his ever since. If Anybody asks me, I belong to PRINCE.

Prince is my favourite artist EVER, period.
Discovering the man and the music, was an awakening of sorts, that lightened the darkness in my young teenage years.
My purple obsession truly FUELLED me.
Also got my sex ed. from the BEST!

He made me want to do music. Me being a musician is all because of him. Even though I take breaks from listening to his music, I'll always aknowledge the genius within his music. I'm forever a fan! | |

I'm happy to say I've never known a world without Prince and his music. I was a child in the 80s and can't remember a time when I didn't know When Doves Cry, Raspberry Beret, Kiss, 1999. I remember loving Nothing Compares 2 U, finding out it was written by Prince but not really knowing who he was. My earliest memory of actually putting face to name was sitting with my older sister and her friend, the Cream video coming on TV, and my sister's friend saying, "Oh! That's Prince! He's always super sexual."

He's amazing.Prince is, has always been, and will always be my favorite musician and composer. His musical diamonds have been the soundtrack of my life. Without his music, life wouldn't have been as much fun. His lyrics touch me like no other. True raw talent! Remember when u told me that love was touching souls?

Some of my favorite childhood memories from the 80's are when I used to join mom in doing dance/aerobics in the living room to her records. I would always ask her to replay Little Red Corvette, but at the time, I didn't know who the singer was, I just knew the song was awesome, haha!
Rediscovered Prince like 20 years later, when I noticed an article about him turning 50 and thought, "Hm, I've never seen that "Purple Rain" movie..", it blew my mind and listening to his newest works, he's still got it! I find him very inspiring and positive. I can only imagine how it must feel to be at the shows. I really want to go to one! | |

growing up around Prince's music & then finally listening to it now has inspired me to follow my dream of singing & learning to play instruments, I remember first listening to 'The Beautiful Ones' by myself thinking wow...I wanna make amazing music like this! I've never not from that moment 2 years ago wavered from being a Prince fan & I'm proud to be the feeling U get when U fall in love not with a girl or a boy but with the heavens above | |

I hope he knows people really love him & his music & will always support him no matter what he chooses to do with his life. His songs are like poetry. Forever my favorite artist too. Let me join in the party and say Amen!  Prince has become my favorite artist! There comes a point in life when someone impacts you and you realize their impact will be a lasting one. I knew from the first time I heard 'When Doves Cry' this man is distinct from anything. I never thought an artist could have so much development in his sound. He is literally became the sound track of my experiences. Certain songs sound as if he created it for what I was dealing with. All wishes and hindrances aside; I really appreciate Prince! He stays true to himself, IMO. He doesn't spend time trying to change something; he just moves somewhere else. He is one of the greatest of all time! I don't listen to him 'ALL THE TIME' because I aware of other artists but I always come back to him. It's something about the instrument he is. He can accomplish so many styles while making it his. It's literally amazing to realize his skill and ability! I sure hope he realizes how much he has impacted people. He probably just looks at himself as a performer 'Getting his thing on' but he is more than just a performer singing and serving the goods! He is inspiring people and giving them a heart of something purple. Something that will transcend! For this and more I thank Prince for his ability! Much love to him! It's Button Therapy, Baby! | |

I may not agree with everything Prince has done business wise but I don't really care because it has nothing to do with me. All I care about is the music and being a Prince fan and going to concerts has been the best moments of my life!!!! Memories I will always cherish. I enjoy his entire catalog (not every single song but his music overall). I look forward to new music and new shows. I will be dancing the Prince party until the very end. | |

Besides Robbie Nevil and Geraldo, Prince ranks high on my list too. I've just started listening to him a few months ago, and I really relate to his sound and his music. ....tha cream I make myself....in my bawlz. | |
