Love it! Great song indeed, but: every song on Purple Rain is my fave...

It is one of his very best lyrics. I love the rhythm, the synthesizer, the lyrics, the vocals! One of my all time favourites for sure. The album version was live too. However, I don't like the 10 minute version all that much, never heard the 30 minute version, wouldn't want to. I think the album version is great and underrated. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. |

I LOVE this song! Unlike most of you guys I've only seen him live once and was so excited when he played it! I'm the worst singer, kind of like Cameron Diaz in my best friend wedding am am really shy about singing, but I just had to! I'm not very religious so went off it a tiny bit when I realized he's talking about god, but then my son asked "is that a daddy talking about his kid?". How smart is that? It totally would make sense that way too! So I love it again! | |
