Prince mention on danish tv this morning 18 June: "Look how weird it all went for Prince" -- wtf.. No big deal... but anyway:
today there was a little -but rather negative- comment about Prince, directly on tv:
On danish Tv2 this morning the host Morten Resen and 2 guests were making a review if the new album by Smashing Pumpkins (and also the new Bieber album, also released today, haha..).
Anyway, during the review, suddenly he, Morten Resen, made a surprisingly negative reference to Prince - said something like:
"look how it all went weird for Prince: now he is too weird, not releasing albums anymore and you may not be allowed to buy them, and difficult to download" --- loosely translated by me.
To view the clip - of course - it's in danish....
just in case you care..

This actually says a lot about how open-minded the Danish are. They think Prince is weird now, so I guess they really thought the midget transvestite period was just normal.

Sorry for even mentioning this very little Prince tv-mention,
I was just so surprised when I heard this,
where did Morten Resen get this info on Prince..
and, why this negative view ?!

It's an opinion of one man. How does he represent THE Danish?
Shocking. This Post is produced, arranged, composed and performed by WetDream

For a megastar, the dude is an oddball and outside of the system - but hasn't he always been? Cooped up in Minnesota when he could be in LA or NY? What a freak?!

to lenis.. here, a loosely transcript,
In danish...
"det man godt kan blive nervøs for er om Billy Corgan -- som for eksempel ligesom Prince - lige pludseligt bliver han mærkelig, og så skal han kun udgive numrene på nettet og så skal man ikke kunne købe dem og alt sådan noget, og ligesom Billy Corgan (...) er Billy Corgan blevet for mærkelig eller kan man holde det ud?"
^ haha ok, dette er talesprog, og det lyder ret intetsigende når man sådan ser det på skrift.
Again, in english... I was just so surprised Prince was chosen by him, as an example of "an artist who has become weird"... but of course Michael Jackson ain't around anymore, that could maybe be a reason he chose Prince as the example..?
- it seems like Resen ain't a Prince fan.. and that surprises me, I remember Resen from when he was a dj on the national radio station P3, one should expect he was paying respect to an artist like Prince - but that's not the case, surprisingly. Prince 4Ever.

Google translation of what was said - loosely translated:
"what you can become nervous about is if Billy Corgan - for example, like Prince - suddenly he becomes weird, and he will only publish tracks on the internet and then you can not buy them and everything like that, and like Billy Corgan (...) is Billy Corgan too weird too or can you stand it?"
(sorry - difficult to translate in the right way - spoken language, it doesn't make much sense seeing this written down) Prince 4Ever.

To the majority of people (and a lot of his fans as well) prince IS weird.

...and that's why I love him

Exactly th conclusion to be made... One man makes a comment and now it represents the identical perspective of an entire nation of people... Come on!!!!!

So humping the stage and screaming about a prostitute is fine, but releasing his albums through newspapers is weird?

I don't understand what's weird about his comment...people hardly knew about 20ten or Planet earth. so for the public it's like he isn't releasing albums. People know him for his concerts, but not for his latest record.

I don't see anything in the translation that is untrue.
If Prince releases an album, it MIGHT be for sale in your country. At a newsstand. Or possibly at the cosmetics counter of your local department store. But most likely only on eBay. And not on iTunes or Amazon.

"Weird" is all relative. What's weird to you is normal for another. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment
