Sacramento is abuzz with sightings of Prince, the mighty Purple One of pop music.
Last week, Tower Cafe posted on its Facebook page that Prince had come into the restaurant. Monday, he reportedly was spotted coming out of Corti Brothers market in east Sacramento.
"He came in and had breakfast for lunch, and was a really nice guy," Tower Cafe manager Ruben Reveles said Tuesday. "We kept it quiet for him, and didn't tell everybody until after he left. The employees were pretty excited."
The Corti Brothers sighting was reported on Facebook, but neither management nor staff at the market said they spotted him.
"If he did come in, then it was something nobody paid attention to," store manager Rick Mindermann said. "Or he was dressed down."
The platinum recording artist reportedly booked a VIP booth at Mix Downtown over the weekend.
And on Monday Prince shopped for some vinyl at the record store Records at 16th Street and Broadway, according to store manager James McCurdy.
His shopping partner was Andy Allo, a singer from Cameroon who now calls Sacramento home and has collaborated with Prince. The two each bought small stacks of soul albums, McCurdy said.
Allo also was Prince's dining partner at Tower Cafe.
