Probably everything above rdhull & then some. with THIS musician, u cant seperate the "music" from the "man", imo, as they r very connected. his "music" connects him to us in a way thats hard 2 explain. but it and him r sooo different, one wants 2 know as much as they can about the "man" too. the one who can deliver to us (certain ppl) such complex, sensual, uplifting, spiritual, funky, beautiful music. the one who can pump out these melodies, (if u will) some of which are truly the best in the world. the fact that prince himself has said some r based on his own life experiences, make us want to "understand" him more. who really IS this genius? what does THIS particular song mean? so we come here & analyze, analyze, analyze it & we may still never know its's meaning as prince himself saw it as he wrote it. but then, it can mean different things 2 different ppl. thats cool! but we seek 2 see it how HE sees it. keeping himself so private, and mysterious is maddening sometimes, but thats why we have prince,org, etc. & a never ending array of ppl discussing him. he is a never ending epitome of "soul searching" 4 us. his AND ours! to me he is one fascinating person indeed!!!
