Hi guys,

what I really want right now is a great blues album by Prince. Mainly accoustics, with a little piano thrown in.

Not the classic style blues, but the Prince blues of "Sometimes it snows in April", "Old friends for sale" etc...

Where does this definition of "Prince blues" stem from?

SISIA and OF4S have absolutely nothing to do with what people associate with "Blues"...

I made a great little 'blues album' from outtakes from the 1990/91 sessions.

The tracks are either quite bluesy in style, or quite melencholy, and it holds up well as an album from the era.

Like I said, not all blues, but it has a very nice lo-fi vibe to it, which is nice.

I like the idea, but I always prefer an album of various styles, which is what got me into Prince in the first place.

But, if he did such an album, I would include songs that would have to be really seriously reworked to even sound like the Blues...But Prince could do it:

Where's this song from?

1992 Symbol album. just added the word Blues, to turn a reggae song into a blues song.

The only blues song I've heard from him is The Ride.
