I was told there are three variations of the W2A Australian stage picks: - Purple pearl, symbol/W2A in gold - Purple pearl, symbol/Prince in gold - White pearl, symbol/W2A in purple glow [Edited 6/3/12 7:24am] My Prince Guitar Pick Collection: http://PrincePicks.com

Guessing you mean
- White Pearl, symbol/W2A in Purple
On the three occasions I was close to the stage on the Welcome 2 Australia tour I only saw Prince using the white pearl picks. Did not see him use the purple.
By the way, cool website, you have a very nice collection of picks. [Edited 6/3/12 6:10am] [Edited 6/3/12 6:13am]

I'm sure the picks for sale in the merchandise stand were plain black, with W2A in Gold on them.

Yes exactly the same. Pics below.

I could see the pedal board on those three occasions and there were definitely no purple plectrums stuck in there. Obviuosly he could have used them on other occasions, but I never saw them used.

Wow.. I have to hear him play Grace. That would be the shit! Glad he's into Buckley. One could only imagine the trajectory he would have had by now if his time wasn't cut short on earth. Change it one more time..

was lucky enough 2 catch one(Prince signature) @ one of the 3121 vegas shows. Also his guitar tech gave me a symbol one. Would love 2 get one of the new ones. But treasure the one Prince had just played with. Its a "MasterPiece" collection... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

Curious.. What gauge thickness are Prince's guitar picks? Maybe 'Grace' was going to to be performed by Andy and the NPG girls? Can't imagine Prince covering it.. The thought just makes my head explode, it would be too unbelievably awesome I've always secretly hoped Prince would one day acknowledge Jeff Buckley and his incredible, otherworldly talent somehow, either by covering Jeff or just saying that he listens to his music

That's wrong. The merch picks were black with W2A or Prince in WHITE. These two are the same as sold on the US leg of the tour. [Edited 6/4/12 2:07am] My Prince Guitar Pick Collection: http://PrincePicks.com

I'd never heard of Grace by Jeff Buckley before this post so I checked it out. What an incredible song?!! I can't stop listening to it now. How amazing would it have been if Prince had played this? I can just hear his beautiful voice & master guitar playing on this number- it would have been unreal! Hope he will perform it one day. Anyway, off to listen to it again. It's giving me goosebumps!

the whole album is great. it's a shame he didn't play it

That would've been unreal to hear, especially if he really went for it vocally. I saw Jeff Buckley live and he was incredible as well. [Edited 6/4/12 3:02am]

I saw him in Auckland at the St James theatre, I'm thinking February '96? I was working in the theatre at the time and he came in the day before to check the place out. He looked really greasy I think he was surprised how big it was (1900 capacity - he sold about 800) My friend got his copy of Grace signed. I had a huge tour poster too, should've held onto it. Snuck into the rehearsal for a bit.
