I was thinkin about this on the way to work, but I wonder why Prince never did an "Unplugged". He was MTV friendly back in 91 when the first wave of them Unplugged specials started airing. What do you think his set list would be if he did one?

When we walked into the music room and saw the chairs laid out I knew we were in for something special.

Then - I couldn't believe it! - out he comes, a lone spotlight on him, clutching an acoustic guitar.

We were about to witness his FIRST ever acoustic gig.

And, bless the NPMC, you could hear a pin drop. We all sat there, silently, each and every one of us appreciating what a special moment we were sharing. It was absolutely amazing.

OK somebody agree with me one this. The year that Prince played Gett Off at the MTV music Video Awards, MTV ran a promo for an upcoming Unplugged show featuring Prince. I recorded the awards show becuase I was at work while it was on and thus I had the promo on tape. After reading this thread I went back and watched the show again just to make sure I wasn`t dreaming, and sure enough there it was. So does anyone else have any info on this??? Any rumors or snippets of information???

People,, Prince is basically unplugged already enough as it is!, nothing new really 4 him.

Take an artist like MJ, put him secretly with some non-crazy fans and have a little band behind him as he talks about each song and how they affect him.

As far as I can remember (backinthadays) there was a taping of the mtv show but it was pulled back (as more things...like the rock in rio airing).
