Concert-His Royal Badness: New Orleans 1982

Im not sure about the aftershow. Everyone will usually say Small Club in 88` but Ive listened to it so many times I played out on it. Let me think about this one.
My DC Direct wishlist: 1) Bane, 2) Prof Zoom, 3) Superman Blue, 4) Kilowag, 5) Parasite

Excellent choice and my fave pre Purple Rain show. His guitar is amped up like a motherfucker on this one. Annie Christian, When You Were Mine and Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad are performed so nastily it makes you wanna cream your pants!

The Den Haag aftershow deservedly ends up as a favourite choice everytime (some would say too predictably).

Curiously, I've yet to read any comments pointing to the fact that Prince's voice was actually in very poor shape (his vocals could hardly be heard) and for once it had nothing to do with his mike.

The quality of the recording is top-notch and the guitar playing was splendid throughout, especially on 'Just My Imagination', but it was evident that Prince's voice was shot to pieces that evening.
