I m not sure if john blackwell fall under that category, maybe not.

I think to "life can be so nice" too, the part he sings "no one playes the clarinet the way you play...". The ending part of "2 nigs united" (the keyboard and drumming part) and some part of "east."

Add: Cutz, when the keyboard goes out-of-rhythm with the scissor's tempo.

These have some intricate rhythmns going on, but don't know if they are technically considered polyrhythmic. If we can get an expert opinion on this, I'm sure many here would like to know. I think of Babtunde Olatunji when I hear "polyrhythmns", but maybe there is a bit of that in Prince's music.

something in the water, hadn't thought about that one, it definitely had some creative rhythm on it, I think it may qualify, I only noticed how out of place the speed of the highhats were for the song, worked brilliantly.
