Prince's guitars for 2012 tour Everyone here on this forum knows Prince still plays his trademark Hohner Telecaster guitar.I've seen he's been playing it on his Austriallian 2012 tour,he always will play it but does he still play his red Fender Stratocaster?That Fender has more sustain for his leads while he uses the Hohner for rhythm and sometimes for leads.There's something I really like about the red Fender guitar. | |

I was at the 2 Sydney shows 11/12th May. First night he only used the Hohner. 2nd night he used a red Strat for Musicology and Shhhh, a bass for Days of Wild, Hohner rest of the time. At the Ivy aftershow he used the same bass & a Vox guitar. At the concerts whenever he walked over toward his guitar & reached for it the roar of the crowd would get even louder! It was very noticeable & I think he sensed it cause at one point he teased us by pretending to reach for the guitar, then backing away from it once the audience stared cheering | |
