He can still do better than what he's doing at the age of 53 (since he claims he's so "young" and that everyone else gets older but not him). Hell, he was doing these trite moves when he was in his early 40s, so being 53 really doesn't mean shit and is no excuse! He's just being lazy, just like he's being musically. And that's fine if that's what he wants, but I'm also smart enough to know that he's not giving all that he could.

How do you know what a man can and cannot do at a certain age? How do you know that Prince can dance better at 53? If you feel his dancing ain't all that then that is fine but I don't see how you could possible know what he can and cannot do or what choreography he can accomplish., unless you are in his mind.

To the die hard fan who has seen him 40 times maybe its boring but to the casual its fun. I've seen him 17 times and I still think its fun. Lighten up. smile

I'm telling you what he can and cannot do based on shit that HE has said. He's said he feels better than ever and that "time is a trick". Okay, since he's so young feeling, why not a little more choreography (and not only from him but from the band as well)? It's called putting on a SHOW.

Oh i see. Well its a matter of opinion. It's still fun for me to watch and its actually one of the best parts of the show. They're signature moves I've come to love, just like Morris Day and the Mirror, or classic MJ moves. I like it. cool and from the crowd reaction every time he mostly definitely puts on a show. The crowd loves it.

Prince has never been one to have alot of dance choregraphy in his concerts. Maybe you should go see Britney Spears if thats what you are after. Some people are just funny.

THe time is a trick thing has nothing to do with his dancing or lack of choreography...he said that shit back in the late 90's. At his age , the fact that he can still do 2 1/2 hour shows and after shows...just standing and playing let alone dancing is a testament that he in fact is feeling 'better than ever' as you say. THose of us who have hit 40 know all too well how your body starts to break down...and he aint done choreographed dancing during live shows with the band since the early 90's with the game boys===== wtf r u talking about???

I saw it, it was cool

A lot of the movies reminded me too much of M Jackson though

But it was fun, he did his thing, I loved the (Kiss extended synth piece)

I saw a little of old Prince in there

This below looks like a MJ move

would have been cool if he had a veiled dancer join him

Prince the king of funk

BY royal decree, superstar Prince is ready to make Melbourne go crazy after turning on Sydney last night.

Prince set the scene --- and the standard of what live performance should be --- in a commanding show of hits and unmatchable funk attitude at his opening show in Sydney on Friday.

I was thinking the same thing....great minds! lol

nod A veiled dancer. yep I think he did this with Mayte. Its been a while since Prince had a dancer that he interacted with like that though.

I know, it was fun

I did see the last surviving Pip at a Glady's Knight show in 2010 and he was in his 70's twisting gyrating and doing splits and turning the lady's black & white on. He put on a show

@alexnvrmnd777

You come across more and more as a petulant ex

"why not a little more choreography (and not only from him but from the band as well)? It's called putting on a SHOW".

He's putting on a damn show - he's getting good to outsanding reviews and the crowds are lapping up the performances - go on the W2 facebook or twitter accounts and you'll read what people are saying. Problem is you're stuck in, 'everything P does I'm gonna compalin' mode.

Thankfully he's done away with that 80's dance nonsense - the synchronised band swaying - even then I wished he'd sing / play more and dance less!

Prince is captivating 20,000 crowds a night - and by all accounts they are loving the Kiss breakdown and little dance moment.

I said in another thread, and I'll say it here: This tour incarnation and delivery of Kiss is imo better than ANY previous live manifestations: The falsetto, funkiness, dance - way better than during the 80's tours - never worked for me as a live track until this tour

(and yes, I was there and did see Kiss performed during PARADE era)

Here's your second :hand:

Further, to me its not even about "age" Prince looks to be in extremely good shape. Its about style (swag, showmanship, flavor, etc.). Just 'cus someone can't get it...doesn't mean its not working.

Morris Day has been doing the same shtick onstage for 30 years. Pulling a chick up to the table during Gigolos Get Lonely, the bring me a mirror line, the sqauwking bird call. Point is if it ain't broke then why fix it? Somethings just work for an artist.

Ok here I'm 100% in agreement and in harmony with Errant

a section of songs were a female dancer works with prince on stage would be cool but not the whole show. But the 'army of background singers' yeah they can go

Probably the 10,000 screaming girls each night.

Anyway, his dancing has improved a lot over time. I, as a dancer, consider Prince one of the most fluent dances in pop now and in the later years, became more entertaining than MJ's dancing (although to be fair, MJ's later year dancing was awful).

Prince eh.....the most complete entertainer ever. That talented swine!
