His hips work now. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

There's nothing special about his dancing now. He's doing the same ol' moving in place, look-at-me-I'm-so-cool shit he's been doing for years now. Wake me when he's actually doing choreography and moving across the stage.

^ Prince only needs to do the "same ol'" moves he's doing, that's the beauty of it -- with a flick of the wrist the 20,000+ people watching know all they need to know.... -- quality, not quantity; and precision is key! can I get an Amen? |

Alex he is 53, he is not going to be jumping off pianos and speakers anymore. Sit down and be quiet. "Climb in my fur." |

Again, NO one said ANYTHING about jumping off of speakers or pianos. Did they? I said "moving across the stage" with "choreography". I'm surprised you didn't mention splits as well.
He can still do better than what he's doing at the age of 53 (since he claims he's so "young" and that everyone else gets older but not him). Hell, he was doing these trite moves when he was in his early 40s, so being 53 really doesn't mean shit and is no excuse! He's just being lazy, just like he's being musically. And that's fine if that's what he wants, but I'm also smart enough to know that he's not giving all that he could. |

How do you know what a man can and cannot do at a certain age? How do you know that Prince can dance better at 53? If you feel his dancing ain't all that then that is fine but I don't see how you could possible know what he can and cannot do or what choreography he can accomplish., unless you are in his mind.
To the die hard fan who has seen him 40 times maybe its boring but to the casual its fun. I've seen him 17 times and I still think its fun. Lighten up. |

especially since Alex is a big wrestling fan but he dosnt expect Hulk Hogan to be doing shit he did in his youth today
Prince is agile today and not walking like an aching old ass like Hulk...Alex wants P doing that same back killing him gait "Climb in my fur." |

I think Prince is a better dancer now than he was prior to 1983.
I prefer ass shaking, swirly arms, an purple posing to all that early 80's , slightly Jaggerlike, pony prancing. "New Power slide...." |

I saw it, it was cool
A lot of the movies reminded me too much of M Jackson though
But it was fun, he did his thing, I loved the (Kiss extended synth piece)
I saw a little of old Prince in there
This below looks like a MJ move
would have been cool if he had a veiled dancer join him
Prince the king of funk
- by: Nui Te Koha and Cameron Adams
- From: Sunday Herald Sun
- May 12, 201210:36AM
BY royal decree, superstar Prince is ready to make Melbourne go crazy after turning on Sydney last night.
Prince set the scene --- and the standard of what live performance should be --- in a commanding show of hits and unmatchable funk attitude at his opening show in Sydney on Friday. |

Dancing? Who cares? I thought it was about music. So if Celine Dion was an awesome dancer you'd be happy at one of HER shitty shows? I could give a shit about dancing, but that's just me. I'm a musician so I uppose I don't need much visual stimulation to enjoy an audio experience. |

Someone, as in a man. What woman is attracted to that? I figured he would cease that lady-dancing this tour, but I guess not. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

You'd be absolutely right if he didn't try to dance so often. Any ridicule about his, whatever that is, on stage is due to the man himself always doing stupid looking routines. If he would just stand or sit and play, this thread wouldn't even exist, lol. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

Well, if it's really ONLY about the "music", than he's REALLY in trouble because he's been musically lacking for years now. His live shows used to be a treat for the eyes AND ears. No longer. |
