Appolonia's real name is Patty Kotero... and the Instrumental you are referring to would be God ( Instrumental) as a b-side to some Import 12'' of Purple Rain

I've never looked, but I bet you could find it on one of the file sharing programs by searching God Instrumental.

I was really hooked on this song when I first
heard it in the movie when I was a kid.
That was probably the first song I learned 2 play
by ear.I forced my self 2 learn it ´til I got it.
I could only hear it in the movie & I could´nt find it
on vinyl.I only had the vocal version but I knew the
instrumental was out there somewhere.
Finally my mom found it!!! & she gave it 2 me
on my birthday.

Yeah,there is something very sexy about that song.It's because of the visual imprint of the movie ,but more because of the slowness...that cocky slowness...then that melody hook.He plays this for sex.I envision a sexy,cocky ass woman taking charge and teasingly,sexily making love to me.
