Full List of 4DaFunk and Free Bootleg Generation Releases?

Note: I'm not asking where to get boots. I'm only discussing them.

Does anyone have the full catalog listings for 4DaFunk and Free Bootleg Generation? I recently learned about these two labels but have not yet seen an updated full catalog for either.

Looked at digital garden and it seems to be CDR most of it..

Still worth having?

Until now I have been looking for silver pressings only (when it comes to spending money)

Ther are no Silver pressings for 4DF, FBG or DFB...these are fan made for fans...no money needed...Just a little knowledge biggrin

Lately some of the silver/pressed releases have themselves been rips of these FREE releases.

Bottom line do not buy bootlegs....

Wha? The artwork for this certainly doesn't indicate that it's an FBG release. Are you sure this is correct?

In all fairness I believe that the boot was been shared a week before the FBG label went on it!!

But you'll have to check with those lads to be sure

Shhh.....don´t let them know what to look for. wink Most of the Youtube links have already been taken down. I wonder if there´ll ever come a time when most of these recordings will be released officially in one way or the other.

Prince´s team could learn a few things from these "labels". The artwork is often excellent.

I think as much as we like the idea of legit and official live recordings of his shows, like Pearl Jam did, it still wouldn´t work out because Prince is too much of a perfectionist and I just can´t see him releasing unedited material. It is probably much more stressful, too, due to the fact that you can never predict how a concert is going to be.

I´m very grateful to the bootleggers because sometimes I´m worried about Prince´s legacy and the songs that he´s got in the vault. This way, at least some of it will remain saved and protected in some way.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Personally I don't think he's a perfectionist as much as he's a control freak. If he were a perfectionist a lot of his releases since WB wouldn't have sounded like shit.

Bottom line do not buy bootlegs....

When you can't find the download, and your crap computer won't download them, and everybody refuses to burn it for you on cd, you have no choice but to pay the bootleggers money.

What's really funny is that most of the people telling you not to buy bootlegs are pulling this:

What They Say: Don't Buy Bootlegs, they really hurt Prince, etc

What They Really Mean: Don't Even Think of asking me to copy for you, I'd rather you pay EYE for one of their shitty 90 minute discs that are nearly impossible to copy or pay sabotage.

Edit: In no way am I asking for or offering to copy anything.

Further disclaimer: I may have copied over 500 cdr for free, only asking for postage and blank costs, but I am not saying I do or do not do this now. Bootlegging is worse than having Shelby yell "Put Your Hands Up."

That's like people offering you free food at the supermarket, and you demanding it be delivered, rather than you picking it up, because you've got a shit car.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Use the money you'd save not buying silver bootlegs to buy yourself a new computer and ask people politely, instead of whining for all the work to be done for you, and I'm sure you'd get a more positive response. wink

Uh, without painfully trying to point out that I've copied tons of discs for free of Silvers I bought without anything in return to try to make it too obvious, I may have made closer to 1000 cdrs for people. The few times I have asked for something from those I have copied for has 90% of the time resulted in nothing.

What is my point? I never say no. When I was working 60 hours a week, I would take the time to mail as many as 50 cdr to people in the mail. Let's just say they were all U2 bootlegs for the sake of argument.

Since I never say no, I would like others to at least say yes once in a while.

So I suppose my main point is for those bitching that we should never PAY for a bootleg...need to understand...if you can't get it any other way, you will pay for a bootleg.

Also, in many cases, the mp3 files sound worse than the pressed bootlegs if the pressed bootlegs were sourced from a non-lossless format.

instead of whining for all the work to be done for you, and I'm sure you'd get a more positive response. wink

I would respond to this by saying I've made at least 800-1000 discs for people and mailed them out. No matter what your point of view, it is ridiculous to suggest burning all these discs, and going to the post office is not doing any work. Sometimes, I have not even been paid for the postage.

Sorry, still sounds like wining to me. Don't expect other people to do anything, you'll always be disappointed. My advice is to look closely at the serial numbers of those releases and see if you can seek them out.

And update your computer, if that's really necessary.

Oh and none of these releases should be in mp3 format. They're shared lossless, so sound JUST as good as any shiny silver disc wink

good luck.
