well yeah... its mind altering and gives hallucinations...

Ecstacy is more of a stimulant, makes you feel euphoric and gives you energy to dance etc, but i guess any drug if you have enough of it and mix it with something else can have a different effect. For example E is sometimes laced with smack or god knows what else and that can give a more trippy effect. I am by no means saying E is safe either, you never ever know whats in it and what effect it can have on someone. I have heard stories where someone takes an E or acid for the first time and it kills them.

I am just speaking generally and from my own personal experience.

In my mind LSD is a serious hard drug and not to be be taken lightly.

If you have a different view then thats what these forums are for. Express yourself. I think there's a big difference though, casually using E vs acid. Acid can be really nasty stuff.

Its not the substance itself thats neccessarily dangerous, its what you do when you are on it.

I know a chap who took LSD just once but ended up with regular stints in a mental health institute getting electric shock treatment.

I briefly worked with him as a kitchen porter when I was a teenager and on one occassion he ran out of the kitchen holding his throat ... when we asked him what was the matter he told us the devil had him in chains and was trying to remove his soul through his mouth.

My definition of "virtually harmless" must be different to yours.

Tripping really isn't about acid. The trick is to be able to flow your consciousness to a higher room, more of a 1 collective consciousness, without acid...love raises the consciousnesss to the higher (realms/worlds) and this is the real trip.
