I don't think there was ever an announcement made by Prince's people, it was "announced on a French radio station or something by the Dj.

i suppose "hot summer" and "rich friends" were likely candidates to be included.

plus, a lot of the songs on the original 20Ten albums just BEG for another couple

of minutes of extended jamming or another verse or so.

Lavaux and Act of God especially, sound like they are edits of songs that are in

fact quite a bit longer. I wish they were as long as some of the 1999 songs, so

they could just go all places and come back again.

LayDown too, sounds like it deserves some more lyrics and some more solo's etc.

I like your line of thinking!

Except the addition of other songs.

Most of the album seemed like excerpts(?) of cool ideas begging to go on tangents!

Where is that Prince of which we speak/seek?

Prost!

It was also announced in the sit down mega interview dinner Prince did with the Peach & Black chaps...Another lost "Masterpiece".......

It exists, and that was confirmed to me by someone who worked on it. The original configuration of 20TEN was not released in the US, Australia or other territories outside of Europe. The deluxe edition was supposed to remedy that situation.

While there was no direct announcement, the track "Rich Friends" was given to the French radio station along with the information that it was from 20TEN Deluxe.

Do you know if there is any truth to the claim that "Rich Friends" on Eye's Broadcast One release is taken from the actual CD and not the radio broadcast, like the other cirulating versions?

If so, imma hafta hunt that one down....

I predict that in late 2014, the next Prince release will be a cd single of "Boom," from Lotus Flow3r. 20Ten Deluxe will follow in 2015 with the following bonus tracks:

Rich Friends

Hot Summer

Cause And Effect

Turn Me Loose

F.U.N.K.

Ok, not likely to happen at all, but who in their wildest dreams thought Dance 4 Me would get a release considering Prince forgot that Lotus Flow3r/MPLSound existed a good 5 weeks after its release?

It'd be fairly easy to tell the difference so I'm guessing they wouldn't lie about that. Having said that, I've not heard the version on their release.

It's not a massive stretch to think that someone at the radio station shared the MP3 that was sent to them.

The point of Prince going independent is he can do whatever he damn pleases. Like releasing a single from a past album years later. Its a new rule he created that I dig... giggle

would be so much more beneficial to him to release the single at the time of the album, not 3 years later, don't you think?

Not for Prince's mode of rationality. He does things just because he can about 40% of the time and does the opposite of what he thinks everyone on the Org wants him to do the other 60% cuz he finds it funny...

Change it one more time..

As he said: "I'm going to see what the industry is going to do as it is going through changes right now". I think that's wise as it will come back full circle where the stying of songs he's written will be in the fore front of music. When....? Only Prince Knows.

Just downloaded Broadcast One and Rich Friends is pristine. Definitely from a CD!

I haven't heard many people talking about this. Getting this track made my week. It has such a cool vibe, parts of it remind me of Crystal Ball. Doesn't fit in at all with 2010. Probably one of my favorite leaked/internet tracks from Prince.

Hunt down Broadcast One, people, if only for Rich Friends from a CD source! What u waitin' on....???
