Hi, I was digging through a box and found a copy a glossy magazine titled 'The Truth ...The Artist and The Artists'. I purchased it back in 1998 for $10 and apparently the magazine was imported from England. Is the 'Truth...' still in circulation or is there any other information ?

If its the same one that we are both thinking about, then no its not still in circulation!! In fact there was only 2 issues that ever came out!! There was even a beautiful website that went along with the magazine, but that too closed down, when Prince wanted to form something called The Collective(www.love4oneanother.com , www.emale.com and The Emancipation Mailing List being the main kingpins with all other sites being underneath them) where he invited lots of websites to be part of this Collective so that everything would all be under his control freakish umbrella, but a lot of those websites declined his offer, including The Truth website and magazine!! This then resulted in Prince then heaping lawsuits on these websites with such trumped up charges as posting rare unreleased mp3s, posting rare pics(of which, as he claims he owned the rights to) and also posting lyrics of rare tracks, all of which they never did!! I used to work for The Interactive Experience, UKs premier Prince fanzine at the time and one of the sites he asked to join his Collective, and we never did any of those things he sued us for!!! Its all because he wanted full 100% control over everything, which he now realizes that he cant do, even after a second round of lawsuits just a few years ago!!!
