Hi y'all,

This is the one thing that, to my knowledge, isn't listed on Princevault (or did I miss it?), though it is definitely OFFICIAL material (as the two 1994 promo-tapes that still aren't listed either!!!): live promo videos sent by Prince to TV channels, usually pro-shot. Most of the time they're short snippets but sometimes whole songs. Unfortunately the oldest ones exist only in poor quality VHS rips, but some contain a few interested things.

I know about...

- An american 1984 TV broadcast from 1984, feat. Delirious.

- The british Music Box TV show from 1986, feat. Raspberry Beret.

- An unidentified promo clip from 1988 that I have only incomplete (therefore possibly longer than my 4 minutes) which features an unreleased "work in progress" mix of Lovesexy, with some sound engineers working on it (and possibly other stuff if it's longer than what I have).

- An apparently british 1988 medley of Adore/Hot Thing/Sister, supposedly from Paris 1988 ("last week" according to the VJ) but Hot Thing is from the SOTT movie and I suspect that the 2 Lovesexy Tour songs are from Dortmund because they are shot so similarly (any confirmation on this ???).

- A 1993 MTV report feat. Sexy MF/She's Always In My Hair/The Beautiful Ones.

- A 2009 full rendition of 1999 in Paris that was streamed on LCI.fr

- A 2011 medly broadcast in Le Grand Journal, from an American concert IIRC, feat. If I Was Your Girlfriend/Controversy/Adore/Scandalous

I'm quite sure there are MANY others, since Prince needs this kinda material to promote his shows in local news wherever he plays. Sometimes one pops-up on YT and that's how I found most of them. Any additional info is welcome if you know or own any other similat clip.

I have a video that was titled "MTV Coca Cola Report". It was for the Act II tour. The show was a 1/2 hour and has several interviews with different band members and production crew. Video clips from the main show and at an aftershow in Munich Germany. I haven't watched it in a long time, but Calhoun Square was one of the song clips at the aftershow. The best part of it for me was a photo shoot for press, and the whole band is standing in front of all these photographers and Prince walks out and starts doing all these different poses, while the band just stands there. It is hilarious.

I also have a couple MTV ones for SOTT and Lovesexy, but will have to watch them again to see what's on it.

1997 - There are a number of clips of Jam of The Year given to news from Love4oneanother shows

1999 - push It Up from Madrid show

2004 - Musicology (the show opening) was given to some local news channels

2007 - Take Me With U from 21 nights in London for sky news

2009 - Paris performance of 1999

2011 - Cool given to the Africa Channel
