6 Degrees of Prince!

No doubt that some of U are familiar with the old 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon internet game, where the idea is to link Kevin Bacon to any other famous actor.

Well why not start one with Prince?

Here are the rules...

If U are the first person 2 guess the artist that I name at the end of this post, then it is your turn 2 name an artist that everyone else has 2 guess. Whoever guesses that one names the next artist and so on!

The musician must be familiar (ie not your best friend who played the triangle at school!)

The way that U link the stars can be obscure and ridiculous if U like! BUT they must be true! (ie, to link Bruce Springsteen and Prince U can't say that Bruce watched Purple Rain in the movies once!)

Here is an example of how 2 link people...

Artist- Axl Rose

Axl Rose was in guns n Roses with Slash who played guitar on Michael Jackson's Give in to me. Michael appeared on stage with James Brown and James Brown invited Prince up onto stage with him!

Axl- Slash- MJ- James Brown- Prince

OK, now U know how it works, let's get the ball rolling!

The first artist that I will name is...

Whitney Houston

(thanks livewire for correcting me there!) biggrin

The lead singer of Queen is Freddie Mercury. The Jackson's hit "State Of Shock" was originally intended to be a duet between Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson. And Michael Jackson originally wanted Prince to duet with him on his hit "Bad" but Prince turned him down.

Next: David Bowie

End.

I have a couple for Bowie...

BOWIE sang a duet with MICK JAGGER ('Dancing In The Street'), JAGGER duetted live with TINA TURNER ('State of Shock'), TINA TURNER in concert sang 'Lets Pretend Were Married' by PRINCE!

BOWIE did a remix with ICE CUBE ("I'm Afraid of Americans"), ICE CUBE starred in 'Anaconda' with J-LO, J-LO did a video for JANET JACKSON 'That's The Way', JANET'S song was produced by JIMMY JAM & TERRY LEWIS, JAM & LEWIS were in the TIME produced by PRINCE!

Next: GWENYTH PALTROW (I know it's left-field one..but it's possible!)

Barbara Streisand made a surprise appearance on SNL during a "Coffee Talk" segment staring Mike Meyers, Madonna and Rosanne.

Madonna has a good friend named Rosie O'Donnell

Rosie O'Donnell interviewed Prince on her show.

CHRIS ROCK who is a fan of, and interviwed:

Yeah, Danny La Rue is a piss take. He's an old British drag queen. Speaking of old British drag queens how about Boy George as the next one up.

A bit of a stretch, but here goes:

Danny La Rue was awarded an OBE in the 2002 Queen’s Honours List, alongside…

60s artist Peter Blake, who created the cover of the Beatles’ Sgt Peppers album, which included (greatest non-Prince song)…

A Day In The Life, which is included in the WNPG play list in the ONA…Live booklet.

next, and I can't believe no one has suggested this, KEVIN BACON!
