The credits. It's a shame that if the movie had been released in color back in '86, it wouldn't have gotten shitted on so much. People thought he was trying to be too artsy-fartsy for doing a black and white film [This message was edited Tue Feb 25 10:31:28 PST 2003 by chickengrease]

I love the credits because of the Mountains video UTCM was light years better than Graffiti Bridge. At the least the movie takes place in Paris instead of behind an alley.

I think this is far and away Prince's best movie -- with so many great scenes!
One of my personal favorite scenes/parts is right before the Alexa De Paris scene where Mary comes in and says that line to which Christopher replies "I'd bet you've been working on that all day". Hysterical stuff. Then the Alexa de Paris scene with Christopher and Mary dancing and trading quips. The "who's buiying" and "Cabbage head" lines are fantastic! Oh, and who could forget Jerome's bit about stupid people, "...follow a stupid person home and see if somebody stupid don't answer the door." I still like using that one!

I think my favorite scene is when Christopher take Mary in the car, jumps in the back seat and puts those black Raybans on.
"I love U." Oh and the mountains video. To me this is one of Prince's best attempts at film. He's funny, seems more natural and less like he's trying to act. I black/white videotography matches the film perfectly. Although I'd love to see the colors of some of the costumes. OH my fav non-Prince seen is the "Who needs money when you have youth bit." If you can't tell by my name: Under the Cherry Moon is my favorite film and definitely one of my top 5 fav CDs. **************************************************

My favorite part is when he goes to meet Mary Sharon at the racetrack and Life Can Be So Nice comes on. The way he looks at himself in the rearvie mirror kills me.

Cracks me up when he's outside Mrs. Wellingtons home and Mary's dad is already there and he shouts out "shove a pillow up her ass, she like that. Issac's in the mood for drawers..."
Prince can be a funny twat.

Every scene that each of you before me mentioned... all those are my favorite scenes!!!
I love this movie! It shows the humorous side of the man! I also agree that it's very underrated and it got dogged for no real reason other than a lot of critics were just expecting a Purple Rain Pt II. Some don't like the filming in Black & White but I think it adds to the character of the movie. If it were in color it would take on a totally different perspective, although I admit I wouldn't mind seeing a version in color... just to compare the two!

i like the opening credit scene with the narration over his piano playing. that headdress cracks me up! i like when Christopher and Mary see each other for the first time -- i remember a drum thing going on??? i like the "Alexa de Paris" scene a lot! i like the recitation of "an honest man" in the cave and of course, the Mountains video. DAMN -- I meant 2 grab Parade 2day 2 listen 2 at work!!! http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

My favorite scene is when Jerome says, "Honey, don't you know I'll slap the WAVES out yo'head?!!??" Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
