Cookie Jar Trivia
I didn't learn this factoid until today:
The first minute of Cookie Jar was accidentally erased by an assistant engineer on the morning following the tracking session, however, when the two inch tape was striped with tones (which were often recorded at the beginning of analog tapes as part of a calibration process for the tape machine).

That was one of the only major problems that Sunset Sound had with Prince. The tape wasn't documented properly and it was erased and that is what you hear on the outtake.
As far as I know, it was rerecorded at Paisley Park with Sunset Sound footing the entire bill for the session.
