came across some cool remixes that are namechecking dr. fink. whilst i don't believe these are by fink they are rather cool, especially "come on" (drfinks illegal remix). it would definitely tear up some dancefloors.

anyways anybody else heard it, what do u think? anybody got any info about who is producing these?

They are not by the Dr Fink. This DrFink is a German, that's all I know.

He/she did some SOTT mixes too.

There was a remix by that guy of something from 3121 also IIRC. Either Black Sweat or Love, i think.

I also have a "Dr. Fink" remix of "waiting room" by Prince and No Doubt. - don't know if it's the real fink or not

he seems to be going under the name of arstz vogel. my german is limited but i'm sure arstz means doctor and vogel means bird. fink is german for finch so it's a little play on words.

... it's kinda 'cool' that he's using Fink's name then again, you'd think he could come up with something ... more ORIGINAL but, I have some of the mixes too

i like the way he mixes live versions with the studio. such as the organ solo at the beginning of hot thing that is faithful to the sign o the times tour version.

come on caught my ear because he uses only the vocal.

he's obviously a big fan whoever he or she is, n his version of dance 4 me was better than any of the licensed remixes imo.

but i agree the bass solo in forever in my life was a bit much and not exactly subtle.

Yes, I made those remixes! Great that some of you like them.

And yes, I'm German, and "Arzt" is German for "doctor", and "Vogel" German for "bird".

I did those remixes with Ableton and some plugins (mostly reFX Nexus). Of course I'm not a professional remixer - I have some background knowledge about music theory, and can play the piano, so being a Prince fan, I decided to try to do some prince remixes - that's all.

Each of my mixes has "DrFink" in the name - although sometimes I find them in the internet with "Dr. Fink" or "Doctor Fink" or something like that. The real Dr. Fink hasn't done any official Prince mixes at all (so far) - I mean that there aren't any remixes by the real Dr. Fink called "Dr. Fink Remix" or something like that.

I haven't seen this thread so far because I'm rarely on prince.org - I'm mostly on The Orange Park (prince-web.de), a big German Prince forum. They also "operate" a new 24/7 Prince radio station: The Orange Park Radio: http://the-orange-park-radio.playtheradio.com
