woke up this morning i had been having forever in my life in my head all night during my sleep, then when i get i up i start singing "and if the stars ever fall one by one from the sky i know mars will not be too far behind" and i am thinking what the hell does that even mean? perplexed. wondering what your interpretation is, it's from TMBGITW song of course, and i couldn't figure out for the life of me what that means. What are some other lyrics you can't get your head around???

maybe it has to do with Mars being he Roman god of war. (the last war?)

Or if the world is ending from outside our solar system it seems that Mars would be destroyed first...and thus we would all see this happen and know it is the end of the world?

Stars falling from the sky may be a reference to the end of time in general?

the song seems to be about loving someone until the end of the world:

i had a dream some kids was singing "Lisa" the other night! i woke up with morning wood!

well "Jack U Off" almost got me tossed! I forgot all about that! this girl was getting all horny (so she said) to that song. She was jacking off my stick shift! When i offered an alternative... she started to but then asked me to take her to some guys house! Like a dork I did! she fucked him! and her dad found out. (she was my age we were both 16 or 17)

While writing the song, Prince was thinking about his 480 calorie a day diet from 1993, and wanted a Mars bar. That's about as possible as anything, because the lyrics don't really mean anything.

its a stretch but maybe he could be suggesting shes the center of the universe, that way it would make sense if mars would be behind all these stars
