Such a beautiful song...Only Prince can convey this kind of emotion in his singing 
Everytime this song is mentioned I go right to the Lovesexy era rehearsal that was featured in the credits of the BBC Omninbus Prince Special. Such a soulful take! Hopefully someday it will be released in full. | |

I love the song too! It wasn't a regular in the setlist for the Parade tour, but it was played on the last couple of shows on the tour in Japan. The boots are out there... TRUE BLUE |

This song helped cement my relationship with one of my first girlfriends. She thought it cool and different that I was a Prince fan. We sat in my dad's car outside the house one night (he had a big Jaguar so she was doubley impressed) and I played ATWIAD on the tape player. When The Ladder came on, she melted. Happy days.
