Riddle me this... Can you give me 1 example of Prince commiting a selfless act?
I am not counting musical contributions to some girl in an attempt to get in her pants.
So far I am aware of the love4oneanother work, so again, lets concede on that.

You can find examples in those threads, e.g. helping his sister, bodyguard Chick, schools, hospitals, etc. I hope you are not implying/baiting that this person Prince has never ever done anything in his life that was selfless for anybody. We do not know him personally, so we cannot know whatever he's done in private. On the other hand, you can argue that all of us are selfish all of the time, because even altruistic acts are to curry favor with others or to build ourselves up in some way. But in that case he is no more and no less selfish than the rest of us.

There are heaps. And heaps.
Interestingly though, I can't offer one example of YOU committing a selfless act.
Ohhh, that's probably because I don't know you personally, nor do I know what you do with your spare time, where your money goes, what your personal morals and ethics are or where your values lie.
My bad.

he seems to do quite a bit of good work for communities, schools etc but unlike more fame hungry camera whores, he just does it off the grid. which is pretty classy imo.

this is going back a few years now but a freind of mine was in a band in Minneapolis and also drove for a courier company. He stopped at a bakery one day in Chanhassen and as he was driving back along the road he noticed a dude sitting on the kerb in a greyish overcoat so he pulled over and asked if he was OK, he simply got a nod and half smile so he asked do you need anything to which he got a shake of the head and a thak you I'm fine. My friend gave the guy his lunch and simply said take care of yourself my friend.
About 2 weeks later he was contacted by a Paisley Park staffer who offerd him some free studio time and the use of Glam Slam nightclub. The dude on the road was Prince and he got someone to track down the guy and do the research. All from noting the plate of the van. They did go on to record their album at Paisley and a video clip at Glam Slam.
These are the srtoreies that donlt get out and I am sure there are many many many others, just cos he doesn't make a big song and dacne about supporting things etc in the public eye like the Brangelinas of the world doens't mean to say he doesn't do stuff. In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. It says cross the line, cross the line. I know everything is not always what it seems, so I pinch myself daily just in case it's a dream

At the last jam at Paisley Park he held a coat drive asking concert goers to donate gloves, hats, scarfs and/or coats. The private performance was really inexpensive, like $30; this low price allowed us to buy several items to donate, especially if you knew where to go like Ross, Marshalls, Sears, etc. Some people bought used items in good condition and nothing was turned away. The Paisley Park staff were so gracious, they smiled and simply thanked everyone, it was so nice.
I think it was the coolest thing for Prince and Paisley Park to do -- and yes, the performance was slammin and went on for hours Prince kept coming back for encore after encore, we were so blessed by his/their generosity.

Even pricks can be nice sometimes, or nice people can be pricks sometimes.
What NPG member was it that was fighting a custody battle over her kid and Prince selflessly set up a daycare room for her at Paisley Park?
